Alessandra Corine Ambrosio born April 11, 1981 is a Brazilian model.Her last name is spelled Ambrosio, but the diacritic mark is omitted in her modeling work. Ambrosio, described by Tyra Banks as The future of the modeling world, is best known for her work with Victoria's Secret and was chosen as their first spokesmodel for Victoria's Secret PINK line.Ambrosio is currently one of Victoria's Secret Angels and the former face for the UK company Next. Aside from modeling work, Ambrosio represents as the National Ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Ambrosio was also selected by AskMen.com as Number 2 out of the Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2008.

But the Victoria's Secret model looked a world away from her pin-up status yesterday and went shopping totally bare-faced and looking rather dowdy. Ambrosio traded the runway for a trip to Rite Aid where she picked up several bags of items at the Los Angeles pharmacy. The normally glamorous Brazilian model wore a large knit shawl, tights and Ugg boots with her hair up in a messy bun. She could be forgiven for looking unkempt though as she was probably recovering from her 30th birthday celebrations which were the day before. Looking a bit worse for wear, it would not be surprising if her bags were full of hangover remedies for any residual effects from her big weekend. Her actual birthday was on Monday but she celebrated in Las Vegas and enjoyed several parties over the weekend including at the opening of the Marquee Dayclub where she looked decidedly more glamorous. She posted a message on her Twitter page thanking her fans for their birthday notes. 'Thanks everyone for all the beautiful messages and wishes!!!! Lot's of love to all!!! Xoxoxoxxo', she wrote. The supermodel is mother to two-year-old Anja and is engaged to Jamie Mazur. She recently spoke of her joy at being a parent. 'Motherhood changed my life in that everything I do I think about my daughter. 'I go to work and when I have a pause I just think about my daughter and what she's doing. 'I just give more time to be with her and take care of myself to be able to take good care of her', she added.    |
